i use Freetube on my deck which you can set the default video resolution to 1080. works well in gamemode.

oh my goodness! is that an abyssinian kitty?
i do not need the cable, but i just wanted to say the cat is beautiful. <3
considering decky broke completely when the new update dropped, a new version of decky was needed for most of us.
doing a search just now, I saw two pop up. super functional as well.
these fellas ain’t too bright. let’s continue to allow them to think they are.
this is depressing. i hope i can find an alternative, but it likely won’t be as amazing in scope or in website design/functionality.
=(
in my experience the official dock has trouble with just one monitor. i couldn’t imagine trying to configure 3.
when i boot into desktop mode with the official dock, there’s a 50-50 chance that it just doesn’t load the image at all on the monitor and i have to take it off the dock and just use desktop in handheld mode.
maybe a better splitter or connection could do it. but the official dock seems to have a lot of issues with USB inputs in general.
I use them in WoW for tricky keybinds. and in terraria they’re pretty useful as well
my steam deck is my main daily device. I use it for most stuff. I own consoles, but its just so much easier to use the deck cause I can keep everything in one place.
steam, emulation, I even use it for youtube. docked to my TV.
gods, I know what you mean. I named my most recent layout “Ugh” out of frustration for it not working well.
thank you so much again!
edit: a comma =P
I went ahead and saved this post cause I might need it again later. thank you so much for this.
the only other thing I can recommend is to make your own images for the art using the sizes indicated by steamgriddb. you can apply them yourself but its a bit of a pain in the ass. so i typically just upload my own and use the sgdboop to put them on.
this happens a lot on steamgriddb. Nintendo takes down a lot of stuff from the website, but I would just skip over the ones taken down and find one from a more recent uploader.
its why I try to keep an eye on the images I’ve uploaded just in case Nintendo feels like they can stop me. I just re-upload when they do the silly takedown nonsense.
they can’t stop us. just grab another that has been recently uploaded for your game art.
it’s my daily device. I watch youtube and anime in desktop mode. I even have some music on it.
I experienced this exact same thing and I was never able to find a solution, unfortunately.
I ended up just installing Java edition (prism) with a mod called controlify and that’s been working very well.
world of warcraft and Terraria come to mind for me.
I have not, sadly. I dearly wish I could help.
I’m in the same boat as you are. I have moved all my gaming and emulation fully to the steam deck. It’s just too damn easy to just pick it up whenever.
and yeah BG3 I have to put on hold every now and then cause it just will rip time away so fast. I just get lost in it.
I’m with you. I couldn’t get the keyboard and mouse rebind to feel anywhere close to comfortable.
I have only ever played DAI with a controller. So I was very happy that I found the proton-ge version.
been hitting Dragon Age Inquisition hard since the controller fix proton-ge workaround got released.
it looks beautiful in handheld and when I play in docked I’m noticing that textures look nicer than they did on my Xbox.
such a fun game. 🤘
*happy little edit to link the file here. thank you cammoore1 for the workaround!
that’s so scummy. way to get users to shrug and watch it on a pirate site instead. if that was their goal, they’ve done well!
