Overwhelming plastic garbage
Change. Change is ruffling people’s feathers. They want what they are used to, and the new thing is unequivocally evil.
Then you are extremely lucky, as am I. I have enough money saved up that I took a break.
However, something like 40% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and just don’t have that option. The threat of poverty is constantly chasing them. When you’re in that situation, you will take the best option available even if it’s garbage or next to garbage.
The main argument is that we are in a system of people who are way more powerful than us, and have largely taken away our options until we agree. We’re facing widespread protests and international strikes right now because we don’t like the options they’ve given us, and we’re trying to change the system.
Just because somebody takes away your options until you agree, doesn’t mean they aren’t forcing you. Just because you happen to be satisfied with what you have, doesn’t mean that something better is not being denied from you, even though it is possible for you to have it.
Is commenting for engagement boost a thing?
This is incredible and I never could have imagined it. This will democratize the power of programming
So… Without a government, there just wouldn’t be armies? Rich and powerful private citizens wouldn’t form their own armed forces?
Be pretty.
The main reason is because they already learned from the United States that going into combat in dense cities doesn’t work when you’re the one attacking. They care more about their own lives than the lives of innocent people.
I can guarantee you that autistic and neurological people might as well do this equally.
Hijacking this comment to say:
The point of protest is to (peacefully) coerce the government by means of disruption. I’m making a huge boiling down of MLKs philosophy, but he was very clear: if you don’t use methods of coercion, the government has no reason to pay attention.
The video apparently states that this info is 8 years old and doesn’t really prove either way, whether hamas was digging tunnels under the hospital.
Since you’re already getting therapy, I have just one idea that’s far out but might be cool:
Learn sign language. Deaf people don’t speak, and while they can interrupt and demand attention similar to the way hearing people do, it seems like your main problem is sensitivity to sound.
It’s interesting the types of phrasing they use, like shatter. I never think of stars as rigid, more ethereal even though I know how they work
