Everything is ever so slightly broken in a way that I just can’t ignore. Personalization doesn’t quite work. Permissions are overwhelming and usually lead to silent failures. Integration with the rest of the system is weak at best.
I’m honestly so sick of everything being sandboxed. The security is not worth the hassle.
It’ll be difficult for a while until someone figures it out and then it’ll be easy again. It’s just an arms race.
Security through obscurity doesn’t work. These systems need to be actually robust, which is only trustworthy with open source

Now that I’ve gotten used to the Deck, the Switch seems so light that it feels like a knockoff.
Since it’s GDPR, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a drop-in library or something that uses those dark patterns instead of LJ setting that up himself.
Sync is already the most visually and ergonomically polished by far. That’s not all that matters, but it’s very important for me and many others.
I honestly love everything about Typescript with Deno. TS with Node is a massive headache but with Deno it just works out of the box, and it really lets TS shine.
