Wol. Soft kinds like merino. It’s comfortable and great at regulating body temperature. It’s also great for wearing underneath other clothes in the winter.

Been using some sort of vi for 20-some years now and I’m still not convinced. I suspect it’s got something to do with my configuration. I’ll need to tinker a bit. I think I’ll give it another 20 years then I’ll let you know.

Sometimes it feels like this but often I’ll just put on a face and pretend to be listening but really I’m still halfway focusing on the problem I’m solving. I rarely really hear what people say to me when I’m like that. Just nod and smile ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Growing up with limited capabilities (e.g. sh or ksh on headless SunOS/Solaris and AIX servers) and a lot of room for failure is what did it for me. I learned to think before typing, break things and fix them again. I still learn that way and I find that life without crutches and with lots of tinkering improves my understanding of how most things work and makes me more efficient in the long run.
