Oh without a doubt and I want him to hit that potential anywhere if there isn’t a place for him here but I’m convinced he can do a job for us.

I know it’s just sentimentality and us being more ruthless with players is a good thing when it comes to challenging for honours but the thought of ESR playing for another team honestly makes me feel sick.
I think the massive upswing in quality across the Premier League makes any trophy look a bit more desirable nowadays too honestly, makes for better viewing as a neutral at least
Oh for sure and it really shows the class of the players who do break through! I’d be interested to know whether it was the club or the player who wanted the move though and I do get a bit sad when academy players leave, remnants of the wenger days where we got to see them more in the Carling Cup I guess.
Seems a shame, I thought he was supposed to be a pretty good prospect, popped on the bench a few times
I always want to see City drop points but that was never a foul on Alisson, goalkeepers get too much protection
I assume that after Arteta called them all out, they are too chickenshit to appoint a VAR ref
I don’t understand why we have a 2nd goalie on the bench in Hein instead of one of the outfield academy players
I’m hoping for a statement kind of win this weekend, we’ve been working hard and toiling to results since the start of the season and I’d love a big result just to breathe some fresh air into the players and fanbase.
I don’t think any of us could have predicted that though to be honest, for all Jorginho’s faults, composure and passing aren’t generally where he’s exposed
We have been really bad in this second half, lost control over the game
He was back out on the bench with his calf bandaged
Oh definitely, the comparison between the two wasn’t a dig at Havertz, just trying to highlight how important the 8 role was for us last season and why our attacks have been lacking a bit of cutting edge and fluidity these past few games.
We’ve got a lot of room for optimism as a club in general, not just trajectory but when you look at the quality on our bench compared to the past few seasons and the potential of our young squad, we’ve got it all to come.
Yeah it’s a bit of sour grapes really, especially considering penalty overturned and Eddie got kicked in the face on that counter! The one play the had was kick the ball to Rashford and hope he produced some magic, it backfired and he looks stupid because he had to bring on Jonny Evans and Slabhead
I think Man U fans will feel hard done by based on the balance of play but it was only so close because we weren’t clicking, we attacked, we pressed and we deserved to win for trying
He did do well stopping attacks but the first half miss and sloppy pass for the counter means he will get even more scrutiny unfortunately and when the people around him are so talented it becomes clear when things aren’t going quite right, no room for passengers in the team and Xhaka last season was so important in the same role both offensively and defensively.
Oh my bad!
Full time thoughts: ahahahahahhhbbbhbhahweoepepeoeleoweofjkeowkw!!!
Viera and Tomiyasu looked good when coming on as well, I thought Jesus looked off the pace still before his superbly taken goal so he put me in my place
Full time thoughts: Rice looked good again even before the goal, Havertz worked hard off the ball but was very poor in possession/transition, Saka should have scored and I think the defense overall dealt with the counterattacks well but Saliba stood out as per usual
Lyon embarrased enough I think
