Just because Linux as an operating system can have that experience, doesn’t mean everyone wants or, really, needs that experience. Some people buy cars to drive and want it to just work. Others buy cars to play with. Some people dj music that is already made, others buy a guitar.

  • Hey look, it’s the Incus guy. Every time this topic comes up, you chime in and roast Proxmox and it potential issues with a link go a previous comment roasting Proxmox and it’s potential issues and at no point go into what those potential issues are outside of the broad catch all term of ‘bloat’.

I respect your data center experience, but I wish you were more forward with your issues instead of broad, generalized terms.

As someone with much less enterprise experience, but small business it administration experience, how does Incus replace ESXi for virtual machines coming from the understanding that “containerization is the new hotness but doesn’t work for me” angle?

  • Okay, so adhd meme ha ha funny whatever, serious question, it’s as much a struggle for neurotypical people close to with adhd as it is for the afflicted themselves.

How does one bridge this gap? A neurotypical response is essentially “get the right meds and figure yourself out”. But the neurodivergent response always seems to be “no. We make memes about it instead” like that’s some kind of appropriate answer. I say this with some level of tounge-in-cheek, but it’s what I’ve experienced. I have someone in my life who is medicated for adhd, but only has a mild positive response due to them. It’s very difficult to support them when the outward appearance is they are unwilling to help themselves, even though I understand that it’s not an unwillingness as much as an inability.

  • I moderated a very small local county subreddit. It was a ghost town behind another larger county subreddit so when the blackout occurred, I just went dark. Received the same threatening dm everyone else received, then eventually removed as moderator. I suspect I have since been shadowbanned. I can’t prove it, but replies to comments made are late now and after the conversation has moved on. Vote count also sits at one for 24 hours or so. Again, pure speculation. But something is weird and reddit has definitely changed in the last year. Coinsiding with this change, the user base has become significantly younger very quickly.
