It’s a mystery! I’ll never understand why the week after yet another price hike, I quit because of the price hike. I guess I just act randomly in response to price hikes.

Ahaha, dang I got so excited before google pointed out I’m an idiot and meant season 4. (But on the other hand, did find out it was renewed for a 4th, so that’s groovy!)
I think of it like those people are subsidizing my free content.
If no one subscribes, we don’t get Love, Death and Robots season 3 4!
Red, easily.
Yeah, some childhood stuff would suck but you could probably skip a good few grades. As you already (hopefully) know how to socialize by now, a lot of the childhood friend stuff seems pretty optional.
Dating would be really tricky through the early teenage years as I don’t know how I’d feel about girls my own physical age at that point.
Because I’m relatively older and would have insane future knowledge, I could absolutely rock in stocks and have enough money to actually effect change. (Eg, singelhandedly fund a massive Democrat turnout machine in the rustbelt for 2016.)
The hard part would be somehow connecting with my current group of friends whom I love to death and wouldn’t want to lose. They are the only thing that makes the blue pill tempting.
I don’t have access to their data but my guesses are something like:
A) Money isn’t an issue for a large number of subscribers.
B) People like those specific models after stumbling onto them on reddit or whatnot. And while there are many other attractive women, the Onlyfans model is the one they like best.
C) Similar to gonewild, there’s an allure to someone ostensibly being an amateur rather than a pornstar.
D) Laziness. I imagine onlyfans really took off during the pandemic. For those who don’t really look at their credit card bills, I doubt there are other reminders.
“But I read a book written by one of the few people who were privileged enough to read and write, and things didn’t seem so bad!”
This is an amazing write up, thanks!
Thank you, I appreciate the explanation. Being fairly physics ignorant I was wondering about that.
In your head, what was the relationship between what I wrote and your response?
Man, if we’d stop fighting culture war issues, we’d have won the class war. But on the Left, we always take the bait.
I always think of it like, would we rather the North fought for abolition or should the North tried to rally around universal suffrage, gay marriage, trans rights and abolition, have no states join them and have the confederacy be almost every state and slavery not stop. Like, yup, it’d be nice if everyone was on the right page right away but cultural progress takes time. And Fox news goads the Left into fighting fights that the mainstream isn’t quite ready for yet.
You can’t just copy and paste code like that! Wait… I mean… Dangit.
I posted this a couple weeks ago but I think it’s a solid answer for someone looking to learn programming:
If you want a good understanding of the fundamentals etc, I cannot recommend CS50 enough. The original is more difficult and starts with basic stuff (you’ll be asking the computer for individual pieces of memory etc)
https://cs50.harvard.edu/x/2023/
There’s also a python focused version, which is much easier. But this will make learning other languages in the future a bit more tricky. So, depends what you’d prefer.

Both are taught by David Malan, a Harvard professor who is easily one of the best lecturers I’ve seen.
Good luck!
Edit: Should’ve mentioned, they are all free or you can pay for a cert with edx.
It’s a sub dedicated to police misconduct AND has a pretty explicit “don’t defend the cops” rule.
It’d be as dumb as me going to a basketball community and pointing out that the game is for stupid, easily distracted children because they score every couple of seconds. I might not be wrong in what I’m saying, just being an asshole for where I’m saying it.
Lol, you forgot to switch accounts when whining/responding to yourself.
Edit: Also, I’m guessing OP is whining about being banned for being a dink in c/thePoliceProblem where he pretty clearly violated rule 2.
Maybe don’t be an asshole and go into subs to troll? I like how Lemmy has fewer of these kinds of jerks than the other site but every once in awhile there’s a reminder, like this goof.
Free to take the course through the sites I linked (includes ways to submit andbhave homework checked.)
No idea about edx but if you google cs50 I think edx tends to be among the top results.

Oh, I hadn’t looked for hockey on discord Say what you will about reddit, I do kinda miss r/canucks, the happiest group of sad folks on the internet!
Any suggestions for a discord newbie on finding hockey communities?
Nicely spotted! Was my first time experiencing that gloriousness and I cannot believe it took this long.
Yeah, I hurt my back the other day so the weekend kind of blurred.
By the time I realized that, didn’t really want to edit the post in the name of thanksgiving day accuracy.
I doubt you’re going to love the answer but it’s basically “you just know.”
It super depends on the person, the moment and the vibe. If it’s been a date or two, maybe we’ll be talking, turn face to face, the conversation fades, we’re looking at each other and we both know we’re gonna kiss, so we do. If we’re all dancing, maybe you lock eyes and kind of slide into each other. Maybe you’re at a party and jokes lead to childish bumping with your shoulder on the couch or whatever and you see how they respond.
If I had to boil it down for non drunk dancy events (those are just raw physical chemistry) as simple as I can it’d be something like (also, I’m just assuming genders etc, adjust as necessary):
Is she laughing at your jokes? Is she actively engaging in the conversation or just being polite while you talk at her?
Sounds dumb but is she playing with her hair? Looking into your eyes? Leaning in?
If this is all fairly new to you, then I’d play it safe and at some point in the conversation find something you both enjoy and could do together (maybe you like the same terrible dive bar, maybe there’s a nice walk nearby, maybe somewhere fun for tapas) and then later on, when you think things have clicked, say something like “it’s been amazing meeting you, but I really shouldn’t abandon my friend Bill, even if you are way funnier and probably better looking. But maybe next week, can I buy you a drink at that dive bar/walk/tapas?”
Be prepared for rejection. It happens. It’s not the end of the world, though you might feel it is at the time.
