Yeah it’s just an HDMI connection to the TV. Once connected I can swap the output to the soundbar. I’ve been avoiding the Pipewire config since I do audio recording/production for a living and didn’t want to screw things up haha. Looks like it’s time to dive in and give it a shot. Thanks.

I’m doing what I can, as small an impact as it has. I’ve become much more aware of what I buy, use, and consume. I’ve begun to repair things instead of just buying new replacements, I don’t buy American whenever possible, and I don’t use any AI at all. I’ve completely cut out Google, Microsoft, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Reddit, any streaming service and any social media except the Fediverse, and of course nothing from Musk.
However, the biggest impact I’ve been able to make has been getting a couple people to re-think what they consume from fascist-enabling big tech companies. Small wins.

I don’t understand the point of this. Like, you figure out how to increase traffic on certain posts/comments and there’s somehow a push for this? Do they get money somehow? These people always use terminology and ceo buzzwords as if it’s some big business level that people are aspiring to reach, but what’s the actual point? Why would I care if my post/comment exploded? Was I just using Reddit wrong?

A lot of effort was put into lining up the TV, soundbar, and table just to not align with the wall divisions. I hate it.

Unfortunately Janeway was an inconsistent psychopath
I love this discription. It also begs the question; could another captain have brought Voyager home? I’d argue Janeway’s psychopathy was what kept them alive. Essentially she spent the entire time in a state of emergency, and had to act accordingly. Tuvix (as hated as the episode is haha) was a great example. Boiled down, Voyager needed it’s chief tactical officer and even Neelix, who showed usefulness multiple times, more than a new being who would leave the ship. Ethical or not, she consistently did what had to be done for the ship and crew. I’m not sure Picard’s integrity would have kept them alive.
This is it for me as well. I’ve always been drawn to the concept of self-sufficiency.
