It might not work eh? Might it though? I hate this kind of weasel headline almost as much as the constant “slamming”. Just say what you’re going to say.

What will keep you safe is not selling your business to a mega corp.
But she suggested an alternative reason for the missing portions of the skeletons’ legs. “Amputation due to trauma is a simpler explanation,” she said.
It’s likely that the amputation was performed to manage an infected fracture or an injury
Well…
I mean I could see there might be clever optimizations, ways to handle wind power or even some kind of tidal/wave harnessing. But it definitely won’t be the way Columbus did it.
Yeah just build a wooden frigate that can handle 100 megatons of containers, simple.
As opposed to the right which is extremely adept at sending its own people to the poorhouse in order to slave for the super wealthy. But hey the economy is flying!
The trouble with our left is that they are incredibly ineffective and increasingly have no idea how to promote their ideas to the population. We’re lucky to have a fairly strong socialist political heritage to live off of but it’s dwindling quickly and the current left has not been able in the least to gain new political capital.
In the last elections in my country the key issue was considered to be living wages, in light of the extreme inflation as a result of the Ukraine war. This is supposed to be the left’s wheelhouse. The previous center-right government made a huge mess of things, ended their run with a few major scandals right before the election. This should have been slam dunk for the left.
But they made no concrete statements about anything, presented no clear party program, just some generic polite and well-meaning “we should take care of everyone and oh yes racism is bad” They got absolutely hammered by a coalition of center-right and extreme-right.
The big problem is that one usually leads to the other. Saying politically unpopular things in a way those governments perceive as threatening often leads to more than just administrative fines.
They will never make another thoughtful, dialog heavy, diplomacy and reason focused Star Trek series. The mass audience won’t go to see it if there aren’t lots of explosions and personal drama and that’s the audience they want.
Or business decides all specs and design decisions that were made last quarter were actually garbage and yes we do want to be able to manually override every step of the carefully designed state machine. We’d like to be able to manually change all calculated sales data, but also the data needs to remain in a consistent state at all times. Oh and while you’re there, we decided the commission calculations will use a different system from now on. We expect it to be online by the end of the week, thanks.

If they didn’t do anything, how could they have done something wrong? taps head
My fave is Create Machines but they’re all pretty much gold
Sure but that doesn’t answer the question. Maybe if there were a broad call from their other trading partners to take a moral stance but China is well known for not taking political stances they don’t directly benefit from. Again scoring some easy political points against the US is great but I don’t see them making any serious move here unless it somehow serves their interests (which is a perfectly rational stance to take, it’s not a criticism.)
You have any source on this? It’s one thing for the CCP to use this situation to make the US look bad but do they actually have any incentive to materially support Palestine? Seems unlikely they’d hurt their own trade over this.
Maybe in enterprises settings what you say makes sense, but for the small to medium startups I usually work for, RoR is great. It’s super easy to prototype and switch lanes. If I had to do what I do in Java I’d go insane. As for Delphi…
The RoR “magic” being obtuse is extremely exaggerated most of the time and more meme than reality. If you think PHP is better, by which I guess you mean Laravel, how on earth is that less “magical”? React? Next? I’ll take Ruby any day.
I mean I’ve been using ActiveRecord for the last 20 ish years and I’ve never encountered or even heard of this bug. Sounds like you came across an especially obscure one.
joor rite spelin is stoopit an sos punktution. Pandas be damned.
Man seeing those graphs, all I can say is thank god for women.
