I love watching your cursor zoom around the window. Is that a feature of Neovide or something else that you have configured?

I’ve only made it to season 2, so I’m holding out hope that it gets better, but lazily progressive seems to describe it pretty well.

The one that really rubs me rough it how Tilly is very clearly coded to be some type of neuro divergent, probably autistic, but also only when it is convenient and quirky and will not interfere with the plot too much.

Her suddenly being very socially adept when the plot needed her to pretend to be an evil commander or whatever, and she dropped all of her character flaws to make it happen just felt so out of character and lazy.

Also the scenes with Spock and “child abuse bad” at the start of the red angel arc was very ham fisted.

I much preferred how SNW handled the “our wonderful society is supported by horrible child labor and death” arc. Still about as subtle as a brick, but it at least felt like an attempt was made to encode a message, and not just saying it at the viewer like a pre-school cartoon recapping the message of the episode.

Not really, once Reddit closed off their API to all but the absolute highest of bidders, it broke a lot of functionality of a lot of smaller apps like this. You might still be able to find something to spruce up the CSS client side somewhere, but a lot of devs abandoned the ecosystem once Reddit, the company, made it clear in no uncertain terms that community support and 3rd party partnerships were unwelcome.

It feels like you didn’t read the 2nd half of their comment. They do practice. They have a creative side that they want to explore, but they don’t enjoy that sort of grind. Instead, they like tinkering and combining tools in interesting ways. I don’t think this is a bad thing.

Leo Fender didn’t play guitar and always wished that he’d sit down and devoted the time, but never actually enjoyed it. But to say that Leo didn’t contribute to the music world, would be insane.

From someone who transitioned from operations to development over the course of their admittedly short career, this is a poor mindset. Much like how you shouldn’t disrespect a janitor or a nurse, you shouldn’t say “gross” about IT work.

What happened to you “By Default”? You can’t just drop 3 absolutely amazing videos in the span of a month, then enter complete radio silence for 4(+???) Months! My heart can’t take it…

Community isolation is still a big problem. Federated services like lemmy will never reach critical mass until owners start limited communities to force more user interaction, and cross posting becomes more streamlined. My favorite proposal as a solution is to allow mods of a community to subscribe to another community, and allows it to synchronize posts and comments.

Vivaldi has been my browser of choice for years as well. Fantastic product in my experience. I’ve sadly forced myself to start using firefox and librewolf in an attempt support alternatives to chromium based browsers. Firefox and co. are fine, but I’m still reaching for features and options from vivaldi that just don’t exist in firefox without a maze of incompatible and poorly maintained plugins.

Others have already stated the second option as preferred, I’m going to offer up some more context. The obvious contemporary example of this sort of structure is a co-op. There is usually some general manager or CEO-like position that handles day-to-day operations, and major business decisions are decided by a member vote. If that is a little too on the nose, it is not uncommon to have a shareholder vote for major business changes in a more traditional, publically traded, company.

Make sure to buy one with a dedicated button for each letter you want to use. Really, I would recommend something QWERTY just for standard compatibility.
Scarastic jokes over, it literally doesn’t matter at all. Just look online for the cheapest keyboard with the features you want. Type on a cellphone touchscreen keyboard if you are so inclined. If you are typing so much that it really starts to hurt your finger joints or muscles, then you can maybe start to look at ergonomic keyboards and see if they’d be right for you. Beyond that, your time is better spent actually coding than worrying about the proper type of keyboard to use.

I’m just a random guy stumbling across this thread hours after the fact. I want to say that after reading many of these comments. I feel like I’m starting to get a handle on what your position is. You aren’t wrong, but you are communicating your idea horribly.
Your position seems to be “Thankfully, many crimes do leave behind lasting visual cues, so you can still do a binary search for those situations if you are clever about what to look for.”
What you’ve actually been communicating is that “If there really was no lasting visual cue, then just find a lasting visual cue anyway, then do a binary search on that and it’ll work!” - It’s all about how you choose to present, order, and emphasize your comments. Your message is more than just the words you type. I hope this message helps clarify the debate and confusion for you and anyone else who stumbles upon this long chain.

I meant more of how Emacs is really an interactive environment for a lisp interpreter. That is where you get all the “Emacs as an operating system” jokes from. NVim seems to be falling down the same rabbit hole of extensions and obscure commands except by way of Lua rather than Lisp.
