Okay, I’m dumb. I’ve never used this. It seems it’s a script. How safe is it? How exactly does it work? (i want to try it out lol)
Thank you! I’ll be back if I run into some trouble. :D
This. There’s archinstall now, too. A bit buggy in my experience so I prefer the old fashioned way.
I’ve never tried the extension pack, but I do have the guest additions. How do you install it?
You’re absolutely right, now that I think about it. My bad. But yeah, it makes more sense to upstream and make the features toggle-able.
Not all instance owners may want all those features implemented. Not the same but kind of like how Beehaw doesn’t allow downvotes while other lemmy instances do.
I’m on rooted Adaway. No ads but spaces are there. Not a lot, though, so it’s easy to overlook.
Dude was forced to buy Twitter because he couldn’t stop his big mouth. Seems he hasn’t learned. Lmao.
This. It’s honestly hilarious people keep parroting that “that’s still engagement” BS like we’re a force to be reckoned with compared to reddit.
It’s like getting $10 from Musk and thinking its6gonna hurt him in a significant way. Lmao.
+1 to Mint for beginners, but I’d rather go Debian (stable) than Ubuntu tbh. It’s quite straightforward and I don’t think new guys would have a lot of issues with it.
From what I’ve read (take this with a grain of salt), the person you’re talking about cracks games with a much older version of denuvo. They’re apparently a lot easier to crack than those being done by this psycho.
I’d think cocaine would be a better choice for an FPS, tbh.
A lot of us are consciously being more active here than we ever were on reddit. Over at discord, a few people are actually doing stuff that helps promote lemmy/kbin like listing communities that migrate, helping out new users, etc. It’s amazing to see people just working more than they did to make this small community successful. I’m not gonna waste that.
I honestly had no clue. Before you guys answered, I was thinking it was more about the economy. I appreciate the explanation.
Thanks!
Why those 2 countries? Genuinely curious. Not in EU and I don’t really know what’s going on there.
I’ve been on nix for only 2-3 days so take what I say with a grain of salt. I think it’s pretty useful. Back in Arch/EOS, I always find ways to mess up the system (I switched to Nix because of a failed system update on EOS). On Nix, it’s so easy to roll back and you don’t even need to use the terminal.
sudo nixos-rebuild switch --upgrade
There are (afaik) 3 channels you can choose: stable, unstable, and small(?). I’m staying on stable for now. Package manager is slower than pacman, imo, and it’s not as straightforward as Arch. Some programs (like kde connect) need to have service enabled in config.
Fellow EOS user and this is a hilarious yet accurate description. Still have vanilla arch but EOS on my laptop now since I tend to mess with it often.
