Okay but FR wtf is usenet. I’ve never known, and I’m old enough to be able to say that I should
Return all that shit, sell your keyboard, and buy one with USB instead.
Its kind of fucked either way. They’re too short but a lot happens because each book is broken into thirds that are separated by huge time gaps, and inside those thirds there are also time gaps. A movie, even a long one, would be incredibly disjointed and the pacing would feel bizarre.
I imagine it’s probably why nobody has made it a series or movie before even though it’s such a beloved sci Fi series. You’d have to take a lot of creative liberties with it, which is for better or worse, what they’re doing.
I’ve just started the show, and I feel like from the outset they made it clear that a LOT of the show is creative fiction to fill in the gaps. I feel like a lot of people forget just how short the original trilogy is. F, F&E and SF, collectively, are like an 8 hour read! I don’t love everything the show has done (and some of the acting is atrocious) but I love how they chose what boils down to allusions in the books and focused whole episodes on what that would’ve looked like in real time.
I also really like how they are not afraid to completely abandon cliff hangers for several episodes at a time, while still keeping you invested in what’s happening. Asimov dwas notorious for that and did it SEVERAL times on the trilogy. Oh you wanna know what happens? Well I’ll tell you eventually, but first, here’s forty pages introducing brand new characters on a completely different planet…300 years in the future. Bitch.

Solid attempt, but you’ve already demonstrated that you have no idea how to properly stuff a box.
Whoever packaged these is an idiot.
Yes I used AdAway and AdGuard exclusively on my phone. I use ublock for everything on my desktop, and will until it stops being effective. I never see ads on desktop of any sort so it’s still chugging like a champ but to my knowledge they don’t make an OS level blocker for Android.
AdAway is available on f-droid, it’s not in the app store as far as I know.
I do hate to say it but I haven’t found any software level ad blocker that was as good as AdGuard. I’ve been using AdAway and it does an okay job but only like 80% as effective if say. Most others I tried were shit.
AdGuard was my ad blocker of choice on Android for years, but man did they fall off a cliff recently. I used them when you could purchase a forever license (which I don’t even think is an option anymore?), and it was great. All ads would be blocked basically everywhere, whenever they’d sneak through it just meant there was a filter that was out of date and needed to be updated.
Then about a year ago, the shenanigans started. Non-stop emails like OP is complaining about but also - their service BROKE whenever my phone would switch from data to wifi or vice versa. Like, any time it switched network types, just no internet would work at all. I’d have to force quit AdGuard and suddenly everything was fine. The timing happened when android updated from 12 to 13, so I figured it was something to do with that and emailed customer service. I got a notice that said something like “due to high ticket volume, it may be SEVERAL WEEKS before we get to your ticket or acknowledge it is being worked on, thank you for your patience.” So they’re spamming your inbox non-stop trying to click farm, but they have nobody actually working on the product. I never heard anything ever again (still haven’t…account is still active, email is still the same). I tried reaching out 3 or 4 more times but I’ve never received a response.
So…yeah fuck em I guess.
As someone that needed their first deck RMA’d that fuckin rules. I was PISSED mine died, still have no clue what happened never had a device catastrophically fail like that, but they were awesome about it. Tech support tried to diagnose and fix and when it was obvious it was toast they just took it back and sent me a new one.
The advice every financer/realtor will give you is:
If you’re asked to waive the inspection, walk away and don’t look back. There’s always a reason they want you to skip it.
Even flippers in my area won’t waive an inspection without lowering their offer significantly.
Especially if it comes with the same warranty as a new one.
In retrospect I think I’m an idiot and 52 gigs was what I had available before I made more space by deleting shit.
Ignore me, I’m fairly stupid today.
I didn’t have early access, I bought it straight from steam today. It was 54gb and change 🤷🏻♂️
Why is your install twice the size mine was?
Oh thanks for the tip! I didn’t even realize there was a codeberg link in the post.
Is this only for iOS so far? Not seeing it on f-droid or play store.
That’s not run down, that’s a warehouse. Is it falling apart? Is the flooring worn? Are the walls cracking? Ceilings leaking? That’s what run down means, not whatever your weird complaint is about the decor and color scheme is.
