It’s not difficult at all to install GOG games on the steam deck. The games that typically show up in GOG aren’t bleeding edge and tend to work well with its limited hardware. If you understand that a steam deck has a “console” mode and a “desktop” mode… I don’t get the source of the confusion.
It’s a pc. You’re good.

I was one of those students who asked how it would be used, the teachers didn’t do the whole real world application part, and I never needed to go past trig.
I work with engineers and use math like any other human on the planet but really wish mathematics was taught differently to make it more interesting. You hear a PHD candidate talk about the hairy ball problem and the math is interesting. Math class never was.
To translate: As a child learning math this equates to “ignore math, the explanations don’t explain anything real, they only explain more math.“
“The only explanation is more abstraction with no real world application as far as math class is concerned. Frankly, there’s more application to your own life experience if you focus on language and the arts.”
If it makes a dev’s life easier there’s no reason not to upend half the planet.
I just wish these features could be updated and integrated into the OS or new app instead all these vestigial apps hanging around.
Like bringing the airport utility’s functionality into the OS proper should be part of the OS updates.
But instead, the network section in system prefs somehow gets MORE obtuse over time while good functionality languishes in a forgotten app and major OS updates are now primarily new emojis for messages.
