Hell yes. I was so sad when neither he nor Andrew Yang were nominated.
Hell yes. I was so sad when neither he nor Andrew Yang were nominated.
I would genuinely cry. He is older than both of them and could literally run circles around them, both mentally and physically. I would 100% vote for Bernie and be fine with it. The vote for Biden is because the armpit of hell that I live in doesn’t do ranked voting and Trump will wreck the planet. A rotting potato powering a computer core running ChatGPT left ignored on the resolute desk for 4 years would be a better alternative to these two fuckwits.
Seriously, why did they have to run Joe? If they had run someone in their 50’s or 60’s they would win on “well, he isn’t as old as Trump” alone. If they had run someone under the age of 40 I imagine every leftist voter under the age of 50 would have been voting for them. The only reason “he’s fucking old” doesn’t stick to Trump is because he behaves like a horny 15 year old jacked up on cocaine and Twitter.
Just… FML.
I’ve become personally partial to “landleech”.
Came here to say this. The SCOTUS has ruled multiple times that police officers and other agents of the government are only legally obligated to capture criminals, not prevent laws from being broken. A cop can legally watch someone execute someone and as long as they arrest the perpetrator afterwards, they are legally in the clear. Never believe a cop who says they are here to protect you. In a world where the laws are written to protect business interests and cops only have to uphold the law, the cops are nothing more than tax funded corporate enforcers.
As an Applied Mathematician I feel both seen and attacked by this. At least I get to play with novel analysis because the company I work for is pretty niche.
Lol, I have still written python scripts to deal with them all.
Ankylosaurs please. Give me an armor plated tank with a built in beat stick that could knock a midsized car several feet with a single swing.
If we are going ancient life in general I will always pick Dunkleosteus. A swimming arrangement of thick bone plates the size of a medium bus with a set of Jaws of Life (Death?) for a mouth. The damn thing could slice through or crush literally anything in the ancient oceans and shallow seas. If it weren’t for the Hangenberg event Sharks and Orca would definitely be having some competition.
Yeah, that’s why I used the heavy caveats. The wall produces an inelastic collision which will do WAY more damage as all of the energy is arrested rather than an elastic collision of the two vehicles in which a good portion of energy is spread between the two bodies as they separate.
One definition for a “rate of falling” would comfortably be “the time it takes the surfaces of two free gravitational separated by some distance to meet.” With this in mind, the imperceptible but very real difference in the acceleration of the earth towards the bowling ball would become part of that equation, as it shortens the distance between the two from the other side.
Think of it like a head on collision of two vehicles. You can do the math as two bodies colliding with opposite velocity vectors, or you can arrive at the same mathematical result (at least for some calculations) by considering one of them to be stationary and the other to have the sum of the two speeds in the direction of its original velocity. “Two cars colliding head on at 60mph is the same as one car hitting a brick wall at 120mph.” It is rough and doesn’t work for all calculations, but the idea is the same.
I have been wishing that Formal Logic was a K-12 class like English.
Omg, my wife and I were looking at air purifiers a couple months ago and I had this exact meltdown.
I have this problem too. My wife gets so annoyed at things because I question things I notice as biases or statistical irregularities instead of just accepting that they knee what they were doing. I have tried to explain it to her. Skepticism is not dismissal and it is not saying I am smarter than them, it is recognizing that they are human and that I may be more proficient in one spot they made a mistake than they were.
I will acknowledge that the lay need to stop trying to argue with scientists because “they did their own research”, but the actually informed and educated need to do a better job of calling each other out.
What gets me is that spitting on someone is not a criminal violation in most states as far as I know. The supreme court has long held that a police officer’s only responsibility is to enforce the law, not protect or serve. In this case, there was no legal infraction so he should have just sat there eating his donuts and arresting active shooters after they finish.
Yeah, those rides complete a rotation in ~10 seconds given what I was able to count in a couple YouTube videos, so 36°/sec. If they have a 10m radius, the linear velocity would be 6.283 m/s or 22.62km/he.
Geez, it’s like nobody has ever played Spore.
As a mathematician this genuinely hurts. Lol.
Sometimes I really hate the modern world. Especially working remotely doing what could be asynchronous work with colleagues, why the hell can’t we just sleep whenever we want, as long as the work gets done.
Yeah, I noticed my rythem in absence of anything teathering it to the socially acceptable world is about 28 hours. Weird that I am not alone in this apparently.
I have genuinely had exactly this conversation with only the names changed. Multiple times.
They are both Gramps, Trump is just gramps wearing Kristy makeup.
