I paid for the sync app on Reddit back when it was like $2 or 5. I’m not paying $99 to remove ads. I know there are dev costs, but there aren’t any API costs here right?
I’ll still use Sync here until I see what Boost brings over it’s released.
The new jerboa is a huge step up for me. Swiping to get back to the front page, and comment arrows to jump to level comments. Will use it until sync or boost hits.
I mean,it’s only a dollar. In general, tipping culture is our of control but I’m fine with nominal fees for local places. I know during covid, Chinese restaurants closed for awhile around us.
I assume the dev didn’t just make the app and think he can just retire, it was just one income stream for other stuff they develop and sell, but point taken.
