Jerboa users as of now are not able to select language to the best of my knowledge. They are not able to post or comment here and must use the web ui to do so. I think adding “undefined” would fix this

you aren’t supposed to be posting messages as undefined, i dont know why the UI even makes that an option.

How can I define a default language for my posts? I haven’t seen a setting that concretely states that.

if jeroba does not do it then its up to the instance mods and admins to set it. even then i think there is an issue since in the web client i see undefined and the selected community langage

i think it may be a bug.

IMO its a sensible default, as it basically indicates that the language of the message is unknown. The admin settings even has a warning that deselecting the “undefined” language will cause most content to be invisible to that instance.

I’m just repeating what server ops and users are telling me who have been here longer. I’m not going to wade into old battles,
