Someone replies with something you don’t like and its “white supremacy”?

Yes. Fuck all domestic abusers. But this post is specifically about Chris Brown.

Instead you default to instant whatboutism

I wrote out a big paragraph offering suggestions for how you could work on thinking logically and empathetically, but I’m realizing now its easier to just block you so i don’t have to read your insane reply 🙂

Everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinions on whatever but sometimes it’s about how consistent you apply your opinions and what that means. I personally don’t have any relationship with Chris Brown or his music, which is something you can see for yourself here

This is a community about the biggest culture in the world that derives from and is propped up by black people and as I said, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but there’s a time and a place and if you’re not contributing to this community, why speak up selectively to try and keep people down that already have a hard enough time just existing.

When we look at antisemitism for example, we’re taught that calling lawyers and bankers Jewish is counterproductive and actually puts the wider community in danger, because that was a trope used by the Nazis that lead their genocide. If we’re talking empathy we understand that just fine.

But the second black lives may have to matter, there’s somehow a logic and empathy shortfall? Okay.

Earlier in the thread, I posted many different links with a bunch of celebrities that have domestic abuse charges. Why don’t I see people in threads when they come up? It’s only the thread in the Hip-Hop community about the black man.

Eminem has domestic abuse charges and is on tape saying the n-word on multiple occasions, where was the public outrage when his link was posted the other day? Everyone’s okay with racism or everyone’s okay with Eminem’s domestic violence history.

Sometimes people will camp new and act like everything is for them, it’s not. I press new and I see some young arse looking women fucking tentacles, I don’t like it, I don’t post. I’m not part of that community. I don’t contribute to it and I definitely shouldn’t be acting the colonialist trying to make everyone live according to what I want.

The fact is, historically throughout the world, black people are held to different standards. This is why movements like black lives matters are so important, so people can check themselves and be better. In a logical and empathetic way of course.

The Chris Brown versus Quavo thing is Hip-Hop news and the person that did the animation did a fantastic job. It’s that simple. But I mean, asking people to take a step back from their ivory tower and understand different people and cultures is too much, I guess.

            Great explaination!

If standards are being imposed, why not impose them to all people at the same level.

Thank you for taking the time to address this hypocrisy, where many do not see it or it seems that they just dismiss it and join the group think mob.
