This is the best summary I could come up with:

At least 13 people have been injured in an attack by a man close to the South Korean capital, Seoul.

The incident happened near a subway station in the commuter town of Seongnam just before 18:00 local time (09:00 GMT) on Thursday.

Some people were stabbed, while others were reportedly hit by a car the attacker was driving.

Local media described the attack as a “rampage”.

It comes nearly two weeks after another rare stabbing in Seoul.

Yeah, it could have been much worse.

But this does illustrate that the problem isn’t solely about guns. NBC reports the guy was suffering from mental illness. The US has a glaring lack of mental health care, which I think is one of the root causes of the violence we see (alongside socioeconomic inequality and media-fueled radicalization).

Except, the gun nuts will use this as an example of how it would have been better if everyone had a gun in this situation.

He would probably have been a super successful mass shooter in America, but would have been forgotten in a week.

Planned the attack for most effectivity. Not an effective user of knife. But still hurting fourteen. And the wat he used car as weapon. In america he certainly would have killed the amount he injured here. Just a guess on no. Of people hurt.
