I really dislike readme’s which don’t explain what the Repo’s code is about at all. Is it a video editor? Some web library? I know it works on Windows, Mac and Linux but I need to google what it does.

I played descent 1 and 2 for hours on end back in the day, never got to play 3 as I didn’t have a 3d card yet and they dropped the software renderer option.

Talk about a blast for the past.

Might be worth mentioning that that is a project that maintains the source code release of descent 1+2 .

Descent 3 was probably the weakest in the series, but it also spawned Descent: Freespace and the best space sim since wing commander, Freespace2 which is fucking amazing. I think it is still opensource but there was some interplay fuckery about it that I don’t remember.
