Please note this is just a beta and there are going to be bugs, but it works and it works nicely. Have fun.

minus-squareaircooledJenkins@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·1 year agoTo switch, you make a new account, right? Cannot change your instance once a username is made?
minus-squareblackbarn@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 year agoCorrect, a new account since accounts are tied to the instance. It’s not a great experience at the moment but I suppose part of the trade-off for now with the fediverse. Maybe a tool or something native will be made later to help the use case.
minus-squareFunkyMonkey@feddit.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 year agoYour username is made on instances. So yeah, you can’t just switch. However you could just recreate the username on a different instance though.
minus-squareech0@lemdro.idlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·1 year agoYou have to have a separate account for each instance. That’s how Lemmy and other federated sites work. That’s the whole point.
