YouTube is running an experiment asking some users to disable their ad blockers or pay for a premium subscription, or they will not be allowed to watch videos.
It wraps up youtube content such that you see 0 ads, have 0 tracking, and a much better overall experience. As well it lets you connect to other content like stuff hosted on peertube.
I hadn’t realised it had been compiled for desktop. I’ve mainly been using it(well rather the fork with SponsorBlock) for a while now on Android since I can’t just simply adblock the main app on an unrooted phone.
