Generally speaking, our instance has been attacked by bad actors causing the site to hang/crash/504 every 2-5 hours.
I’ve spent several days trying to pinpoint, precisely, what the server problems are.
Roughly an hour ago, there was a breakthrough that I was able to document. I won’t go into the details, however it seems that the security of the Beehaw server is better than it has ever been.
Thank you all for your patience and I hope to resolve any further issues.
I’m very happy for you. I was an Apollo user as well. Please, keep in mind that the post that you are responding to is one year old. We now have two other professional sysadmins that are helping with Beehaw AND there are so many other professional programmers, etc that are contributing to Lemmy and other Fediverse software. All of that being said, the Fediverse is in way better hands than it has ever been.
Hah, It sorted in my “hot” feed for some reason. So in that case thank you and the other two admins for the whole year of your efforts!
You’re welcome and enjoy!
