I’m going to go out in the weeds a bit and recommend this: a Game Boy Advance emulator and the homebrew Apotris. It’s really good Tetris. Good enough that Tetris Holdings stopped the guy from selling it. (When Tetris Holdings kills another Tetris, it’s probably better than their own Tetris games. See also “Tengen Tetris.”)
Thanks for the recommendation, I don’t mind a good emulation solution at all. I’m even currently playing Tetris Deluxe with Dolphin on my phone, but it’s made for big screens, so the board is a little bit too small for my taste.
OK, this is indeed a really good Tetris clone! There’s one thing I don’t understand, though. The blocks don’t seem to fall down until around Level 18 or 19. Up until these levels I can think about my next move for minutes. What gives?
