Do people not think VARs decision to overturn the penalty was atrocious?

I think it was the wrong call to overturn it as well. If it hadn’t been given on the field I would’ve been annoyed but understood, but it’s definitely not “clear and obvious”. Also personally think VAR should’ve given Lindelof a red.

Just found out that the VAR was Jarred Gillett. That guy has never made a call in favour of us.

It felt like it would have been harsh had it not been overturned. If it was against us, I’d be a little peeved (and it would have stood xD)

But, I guess if you’re calling out consistency and the current ruling, I see where you are coming from.

Yes it’s more on the consistency side. So many have gone against us where the VAR will say it’s not a “clear and obvious” error on the referees part so they won’t overturn it

That’s fair and I do wish there was more consistency in the officiating. Rules for thee but not for me.

          Flashbacks to the Luiz penalty…

Same, but majority rules :p It was actually 9-10 on the yes/no, and he would’ve had 7.62 amongst the people that did rate him, which obviously would skew higher given people who didn’t think he made much of a difference would probably have given a lower rating, but still worth noting.
