Usually I fail at the final flip and end up just turning it into scrambled eggs. Not today!

Anyone else riding high on an early-morning success?

Excellent! (Eggcellent?) “scrambled eggs with benefits” is very clever and put a smile on my face this morning.

      Haha, thanks.

Don’t recall exactly when I started calling them that, but I’ve effed up a lot of omelettes over the years giving me plenty of opportunities to come up with something. lol

Bravo 👏🏻… My early morning success was getting to sleep after a nightshift, before the Sunday mower brigade took to thier lawns…😅

Got a new bed, last night was the first night of sleep on it. Feel great! The old one was killing me.

Also, I call failed omelettes as you’ve described ‘scromlettes.’ Scrambled + omelette, heh

cannot emphasize this enough for folks. if your current quality of sleep is poor, do not cheap out in investing in a nice mattress. it’s a night and day difference, literally!

I forget the saying, but it’s something like “never skimp on things that go between you and the ground” and applies to things like mattresses, shoes, chairs, etc.

This is the first time I’m using a memory foam-type mattress. It’s always been coil spring before. It’s different for sure, but I can’t believe how much better I feel this morning. We also upgraded from a queen -> king, so now my wife and I are able to get some space when we need it so we’re not elbowing each other constantly. The only shit thing is how fucking expensive these things are, yikes

Ha, ha, that’s awesome! I know both the feeling of cooking success and failure. Good for you, my dude!

Now, if someone can just teach me how I can make crispy style hash browns that don’t end up being somehow burnt and mushy at the same time!!

I’m convinced those are unicorns that only exist in truck stop diners. lol If you figure that one out, please share!

I actually decided to take thins in a different direction. I went to make regular scrambled eggs, but simply forgot the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, leading to the blandest scrambled eggs possible. I set the bar low and fell short. Whoops.
