    I agree with all of your points. It guess it feels worse since the refs initial decision was yellow and then VAR stepped in to tell him to look at it again.

    First it doesn’t look like a clear and obvious error to overturn. Ad you pointed out, there are so many variables that couød have changed the outcome at that distance. And then by VAR stepping in, they’ve either decided it should be red and the onfield decision was wrong or they’ve sowed enough doubt in the onfield refs mind that he feels he needs to reverse it and issue red.

    I’d be curious to know the rationale of VAR and Robert Jones on why he thought his initial ruling was wrong. He obviously saw it and decided it was a yellow offence. What else happened that he thought he missed?

    As you mentioned it also happened in the Chelsea v Liverpool game.

    I’m just tired of talking about refereeing decisions. It’s akin to yelling into my mailbox about the mailperson deciding that I missed my delivery when I was home the whole time. But alas I do because yelling into my mailbox is the only outlet I have, lol
