It’d be like communism but instead of an entirely centrally planned economy you’d have an anarchistic structure where everyone decides what to produce themselves but taxes are collected by central government to do things that actually work well when centrally planned such as transport, communication and health care?

I prefer multiple systems of scale based on mutual aid, where all shared institutions and resources are collectively owned and managed by the people working in those institutions without the obligation of profit. Then those institutions would cooperate to form larger scale systems that can form the complex widespread support for our technologically advanced society without having to be centrally managed or owned. Necessarily, but not ideally, there would be a limited free market that is completely isolated from the actual organizational structure (no lobbying, no private ownership of necessities, etc.) to allow interaction with non-collectivist states and entities.

You would need essentially a religious like structure to either persuade or psychologically force people to buy into that

Unless you can create a society that is completely satisfied with fulfilling their basic needs and nothing more, you will have scarcity at some point

I think that a separate free market that is isolated from the necessities of life can help fulfill human ambition, but there need not be scarcity of the necessities of life.

The scarcity is not in the production outside of demand items (electricity, water, etc) but in distribution. Things like bad infrastructure, war, corruption are the true hinderance

Look around you. Under what you just proposed, they decide what to produce. What you will see is a lot of people starving, because most undesirable activities that are essential to modern urban living will go unattended. By the way, you cannot have an anarchist structure trying to co-exist along side a central government structure. Eventually, the central government will overwhelm the anarchist, especially the first time something goes wrong

You cannot have an anarchist structure full stop. It will always encounters a larger government as they expand and get destroyed by it, since the anarchist structure will always be smaller and less powerful because it’s not an expansionist structure.

Except a lot of anarchist theory rejects scientific socialism as a methodology. Is there any mainstream anarchism that is rooted in dialectical materialism?

It’s the same pill, it’s just that in communist theory they’re like antibiotics and you need to complete the full course of treatment
