Isoleucine found on sources like eggs, dairy, soy protein and meats.
It’s not mentioned in the OP article, but in another on the same study.
Very quickly, we saw the mice on the reduced isoleucine diet lose adiposity — their bodies got leaner, they lost fat,” says Lamming, while the bodies of the mice on the low-amino-acid diet also got leaner to start, but eventually regained weight and fat.
Reducing those foods would most likely reduce all amino acids, so wouldn’t work.
Maybe just focus on limiting food highest in Isoleucine.
previous studies have shown methionine restriction had effects like this and further that glycine increase which help regulate methionine also had a good effect. some folks then felt that you needed a certain level of glycine (or another simple amino acid that acted similarly) in relation to methionine uptake. Im not sure if it functions similarly for isoleucine but it and methionine seem to be in a lot of muscle meat whereas glycine and other simple amino acids are in collegen. So the meat broth people may have something there.
You da real hero
I click baited so you don’t have to 😂
Won’t work on humans though!
