I had made a typo in the post title (22 June instead of 23) and am pleasantly surprised to see Lemmy allows us to edit post titles too. Better than Reddit already.

One thing that’s nice about Lemmy is that we can pin more than 2 posts lol, hence why I pinned the journalist tier guide

That is a nice feature! Will come in handy for rival watch and match threads if we’re gonna go that on here.

Across the Spiderverse is the best Spider-man movie ever. It’s a work of art. People think No Way Home is peak, but it doesn’t even stack up.

It’s not even the best Spider-Verse movie lol, the animation is better but it’s just half a movie

My opinion may change when part 2 comes out but the story simply isn’t finished in ATSV

Saw a reports a few days back that it was delayed. Given SAG-Aftra has also voted to strike starting July 1st if a new deal is not ratified, it makes sense

Finally played real life football after years. My old group became inactive because of the pandemic. Found a new group, hoping it becomes a weekly thing. I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I am out of touch.

I moved away from my hometown and it’s a complete struggle to get together for a quick match. I definitely have to search out a new group nearby.

The Havertz signing might cause issues between Arteta and Hale End products. Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, Florian Balogun, and Eddie Nketiah’s positions in the team are now in question. Haverts, in my opinion, is a jack of all trades but a master of none. Depending on how Havertz is played, at least half of these players will fall a place in the pecking order and might not even be on the bench for CL or PL ties. This could alienate the locker-room if Hale End products lose trust in Arteta, because the signing of Havertz on paper seems to signal that Arteta and the club might have lost trust in them. I don’t know how the club and Arteta can say they have faith in the likes of Nelson, Nketiah, and Simth Rowe, but then make such a move. Strengthening the midfield, especially defensively was the key goal in the summer transfer window but what we’ve gone and got is a versatile striker, winger, and attacking midfielder. Get Rice, Timber, and Lavia done or else the Arsenal are in for a tough 2023/2024.

Havertz is our Xhaka replacement I think. Without him we’d be down to 3 10s which isn’t what Arteta wants

I doubt we ever see Havertz at pure 9 ngl, I’d almost rather see Martinelli there

Havertz played the 8 a few times with Chelsea and he didn’t have the defensive disciple to prosper in that position. I’d rather have someone like Lavia, Nelson or ESR (if he improves his defense) in that role. My point is Havertz’s variability is not a positive attribute. Arsenal need an outright number 9 and an out right number 8, but this is secondary to reinforcing the midfield with the likes of Rice and Lavia.
